Are the breeze blocks cemented in or just dug into the earth?

I was wondering whether to use these on my line.

They are lightweight aerated blocks bedded on large blobs of mortar at each end set in a trench dug to approx correct level as required.
Quick and easy to do and once you have got the first one correct and level you can work along with a spirit level.

Provided no one applies any significant lateral force they are sound.

The track is pinned down with short nails very easily.

Works train in somewhat damp conditions.

Steam at Little Morecambe once again now the station is reconnected.

Steam hauled train climbs from Morecambe on the new formation.
