The tail wind on the Up stretch was encouragement to try "two-up"!
Of course, a tail wind on the Up meant a headwind on the Down, so Malcolm then took a rest.
The "Two Tone" effect on the horn was a sure sign that the batteries were a little low, so for the final run before departure, Malcolm hitched a lift!
A committee meeting (and probably the blustery conditions) left the line clear for Callum and myself, so apart from a diesel left running on the 32mm line to please the passing public, ....
I got plenty of "running in" turns for the new addition to the Westwood & Loscoe loco roster! Did I mention the blustery conditions? - it looked like I'd spent too much time in Pendo's company!!
Then a ten year old Bertie turned up
along with its Lady Anne stablemate
and there were several loco's in the holding sidings waiting for the meeting to end so they could stretch thier legs!
