Many thanks for your efforts! - I did wonder if a propeller / fan would be awkward to print..

Quite a complex shape to draw.
Having messed with model planes, in a previous life, It will be interesting to see the result.

I too am an ex model plane fanatic, flying everything from super fast foamies, through to 111cc 10ft wing span fully aerobatic models, I even entered a couple of competitions at one point The 4 blade fan I have just tried, suffice to say you need a VERY light chassis with VERY free running bearings. I am going to use 3mm ball bearings in mine once I design it. Not the most efficient prop I have ever seen, maybe the 2 blade might be more efficient?

I have had to make a couple of change to the CAD work as the motor does not fit unless you want to take out 0.3mm manually, so I have redesigned one with a 0.4mm bigger hole, this works and is far easier to fit a motor inside. I have also changed the back plate for the same reason. Just reprinting them now.

Well... I can confirm the 2 blade is FAR more efficient, which is how I thought it would be. The 4 blade was super noisy, had to spin flat out whereas the 2 blade is half throttle and much quieter.

Here is the 2 blade, I did not video the 4 blade as it struggled to get around. I didn't try reverse, I will later, lol.

Just so everyone knows, the fan is also way more efficient if you leave the protection cover off. I am not going to fit mine, if someone is stupid enough to stick their hand in a fan, which can only be accessed from the rear and makes one hell of a screaming sound, then who am I to argue with natural selection

Reminds me of a time, MAAAANY years ago at school. We had built a propeller driven, aircraft diesel engine powered, R/C controlled, racing car. In trying to start it in the normal way by flicking the prop, it kicked...and I still have a large scar on my finger to prove it! Back then of course, 'elf n' saftee didn't exist. However there was a positive bonus, my English Language O Level exam was the next day and I had a large dolly on my finger so a note was attached to my paper explaining that I was incapacitated... and that is how I passed my O Level at the third attampt!

Yes, I have loads and loads of motors and I just wanted to make sure you had something that fitted, it's a 3v-6v motor.

For anyone Vaguely interested:
The 'quick' distraction-project, has grown wings (propellers?)..
The performance (on a windy day, and roughly thrown-down track) was disappointing.

The wind blew 'Windy' backwards, and there was not enough 'oomph' to get up the slopes..

The Tamiya liquid cement, doesn't seem to work-well, with Binnie plastic. - Axle-boxes fell off, but that is good, as I am hunting for metal wheel-sets.
Flanged bearings, are on their way from the USA..
The hunt for a commercial propeller, continues..

No pictures, until I have something running better. - I am not going to paint, until I know if I am going to have to chop things about..
