Who to get plates from for an Accucraft Baguley Drewry?
Picked up a nearly new early run green/red Accucraft Baguley Drewry diesel. I would like to get the "Baguley Drewry" name plate to go above the grill on the front of the bonnet and any other works plates these had. Any suggestion who to go thru that takes online payment thru paypal as I am in the USA. Already converted to onboard battery power and made a few mods to the chassis to ensure it lives for quite awhile. Added a working yellow strobe beacon to the roof. Wasp strips on the buffers will be next probably. Mike

I have always used Narrow Planet:

They can make whatever plate you like.

Is this the one you're after?

If not, as has been said, he will make up plates to your specification. I've always found Stephen to be most helpful and accommodating (and also by far the cheapest).

I got my Baguley - Drewry radiator plate from John Lythgoe - http://www.johnlythgoe.com/16mm_Heritag ... lates.html - Scroll down to Miscellaneous Works Plates 226-132NS
Excellent service & very well packed for our Royal Mail's 5-a-side football games. Also includes excellent illustrated instructions on how to fit your nameplates.
He no longer does custom plates so you need to contact him to confirm he has your desired plates in stock. See here for a comment on payment for orders outside the UK - http://www.johnlythgoe.com/ORDERING.html
For number 10 plates as worn by Vale of Rheidol Baguley Drewry No.10, I ordered Narrow Planet NPP-402 Black Nickel Silver plates (height 14mm) - https://narrowplanet.myshopify.com/coll ... 5461806657
Be aware that it can take some time for your order to be processed by Narrow Planet - I was aware of this but the 10 weeks they actually took to arrive was somewhat more than others had previously posted online. They do send out an email with a copy of the graphic that is used to etch your custom plates for your final approval before they are actually made.

Of course if you fancy having a go yourself this thread is about my attempt at DIY etching.

If you just want the front plate, Roundhouse will supply you one at a very keen price as I used one for a Castle Harlech I built.

I will source the RH one as that is all I need now. side name plates have been installed, along with extending the exhaust stack a bit and adding a working amber strobe light on the roof with a guard to protect it from tree branches. I have crammed a 6 cell, 7.2vt, 5000mah, Nimh battery under the bonnet(sticks in the cab a bit to!) and a toggle switch underneith the engine, along with a charging port and power switch for the strobe. Runs for hours on a single charge at a nice proper narrow gauge speed. Excellent to just let trundle around the line whilst sipping a cold beverage. Mike
