I'm inclined to agree there Keith, the R clip would be easily removable if required. The box I have at the minute is more than big enough to accommodate the permanent coupling, my other concern would be getting the loco into the box, it's difficult enough with an N Gauge tender engine! Live steam - Tender connections
Hi guys, After the crash involving my roundhouse George plunging down, it's now repaired but I am not keen on running it again until I sort this issue out. The problem being, if the coupling between the tender and loco comes uncoupled (due to derailment etc) the loco is only connected to the tender ...

If the hose is only quite short, surely you must be able to hear it rattle around to some extent if you shake the loco gently? As for getting it out, I think it's a case of peoples previous ideas, time, and patience! Next time, use a bit of hose thats long enough so if it falls off you wont lose it ...

I love the photo of the flowing water with the long exposure, I've been trying to get something like that for ages, but I don't think my camera is good enough to do it. These are my best so far: http://i602.photobucket.com/albums/tt102/ste234/PA293233.jpg http://i602.photobucket.com/albums/tt102/ste...

Had a bit of a catastrophe on Sunday at the running day. Somehow, the coaches behind Osprey managed to derail, thus digging the bogies into the track, the tender pin had come apart from the loco somehow, so as I opened the throttle ( not realising the derailment!), the loco split from the tender, gi...

Mark 5 Fiesta, In a lovely Red with standard Alloys on, was a lovely little car, only had a 1.3 petrol but it didn't 'alf go! Rarely had any problems with it in the 2 years or so I had it. I had the clutch changed because it was on its way out anyway and a couple of tyres and spark plugs. It never o...
