November 22nd was the last time I was able to post pictures on the Forum as my laptop and camera fell out and I have only just been able to get communications going again with the help of an expert on the subject. My computer skills are practically nil so I am still dependent on other issues being corrected in the near future... I hope!
However, I have been recording progress on various builds in the meantime so will take up the story from where we left off.
The egg shape was required for a particular construction and has proved to work remarkably well for the job. With a little sawing and filling it looks perfect for the task and solved the problem of creating the shape from scratch. So what am I making?
This is Emett's 'Wild Goose', one of the three passenger carrying locomotives which ran on the 15" gauge 'Far Tottering and Oyster Creek Railway' at the Festival of Britain, 1951....

The locos were IC powered from the tender.
The finished model, made from HIP, brass rod, sink strainer, modelling clay, coloured beads, clear plastic containers, rigging twine, downloaded basket weave print, etc. with vinyl lettering on acrylic paintwork (colour matched to Emett's design) and 1:12 scale resin figure (much modified) as driver and now looks like this ....

It runs on a modified Lima '0' gauge chassis and is battery powered with RC Trains equipment.
The best things in life are free.... so why am I doing this?
