I am interested in finding a good USA source for wheels and journals to make rolling stock such as can be seen built by Peter Binnie and featured on the Summerlands site for the GP wagons.
I found a UK site (Glendale Junction), but it looks like they will not ship overseas.
Any ideas?

Hi
You can get a copy of the Binnie engineering catalogue at
http://www.summerlands-chuffer.co.uk/bi ... 4577586364
Contact details are on the catalogue. I have always found that Peter Binnie is happy to take email orders from Australia, so I would expect that you could ask him to post stuff to the US. I am surprised that Glendale Junction wont do that.
Mind you in today's world of tighter security who knows.... maybe nobody can post anything to the US any more!!!

If you scrolled to the bottom of the information posted on Chris Bird's website you would have found your answer -
So you either need to find a trader that will send you an order to the USA or find a friendly Forum member who would forward an order on, but that increases the costs due to double postage, no saving on VAT and PayPal charges (where appropriate). I've been helped out by other Forum members with foreign orders in the past and happy to reciprocate. Send me a PM if you require assistance forwarding an order to USA.
I obtained some Gramodels Skip Brake End kits recently which are effectively a replacement chassis plus white metal fittings to make a braked skip using the rest of the Binnie Engineering components.

At the recent Llanfair show I discussed these with Peter as I only require the wheels, axles, axle boxes & coupling pins to complete these and buying 4 more Binnie tippers seemed a bit of a waste. Peter asked me to e-mail my requirements to obtain the appropriate sprues (plus I ordered another sprue to fix up an incomplete Kestrel tipper), and I've just paid off the PayPal invoice he sent me last Saturday.

Cambrian Models has the same product liability insurance problem with USA & Canada.Binnie Engineering wrote:Due to product liability insurance difficulties we cannot export to the USA at the moment. Hopefully in the future we can solve this problem
