I know it is a long shot but does anyone know if the red that Tom Cooper used on his locos is a known shade (eg LMS crimson)?
Colour matching is not one of my strong points.

Why not take the loco to B & Q and get the colour matched? it'll be a big tin of gloss, mind.................

Not the best picture I know but it gives an idea.

As I said colour matching is not a strong point of mine so any pointers in the right direction would be appriciated.
