Looking for something completely different, I found this little beauty. It's a one-of-a-kind articulated railcar from the 750mm Saxon narrow gauge. One very unusual feature- look at the centre "power car", especially its couplings and wheels.
Anyone for inspiration?

Well, now we know the buffer-stops work! (Heard at 2013 "Longest Day" solstice steamup)
What a strange arrangement, almost like a development of the County Donegal Railcars, but taken to extremes. I suppose it would have the advantage of isolating the engine noise from the passengers, which is something that is very much not the case with standard gauge DMU's in this country.
"What the hell is that?"
"It's a model icebreaker sir."
"It's a bit big isn't it?"
"It's a full scale model sir....."
