At last with the weather I can start casting tunnel portals and dressing with stone oh sunny days are here again!!

They look great! The stone dressing obviously takes longer, but is going to end up looking SOooo much better than "embossed" relief :thumbup:

A lot of grinding going on shaping stone though I think the effort will reward itself I do agree.

How are you attaching the stone/slate to the cast concrete?

Glue is a masonry bond glue that is waterproof and temperature resistant an alternative is to mount the stone whilst cement is setting though you have to be a quick stonemason before it sets. A wetter mix can be used though the drying times will be longer.

I have been in conversation with 'Bob' throughout the day and we have come to the conclusion that we should buy Gorilla Glue after I convinced him that no Gorillas were harmed during its manufacture!
Ordered online today to try it out.

A few gorillas did come to a sticky end in its production but don't tell Bob. You might come unstuck!
