JHMR-Des, the NWAG's newest member suprised us all by turning up with one of the Accucraft climax's. This is rather a nice runner which I somehow ended up driving for quite a lot of the afternoon. The boiler is deceptivly small, and with a layer of insulation gets steam up very quickly. There is a water tank and handpump in the back though
The ANLR steam representative was Urien, as usual because Owain is a sod to regauge

Me, LMSjools and Midge very much enjoyed 30 mins playing with the extensive 00 gauge layout. This apparantly sees even less use then my 00 layout (I thought this was a physical impossibility) but despite this about 5 of the 100 (estimated!) locos were persuaded to run for a few laps of the extensive track. The load of four assorted carriages wasn't really prototypical though....
Back in the garden, and Countess from the Coniston Railway took round a train of WRR good stock
Then, the main event as both Climax's took round a 19 wagon train and looked quite a sight
