No. I think Si is wiser than to get a poorly made & bad running Saddle Tank.

By the way Chasteam has one on auction - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/MSS-Black-saddle- ... 0258769883 I can post it now as it has gone above my threshold for bidding.

He was after one of those Baldwins.

Chris is indeed correct in saying I'm wise enough not to get an MSS Saddle Tank.

I won't be getting a Baldwin, as I don't like the fact that Accucraft loco's (particularly the Baldwin) aren't very well built at the moment. They need to sort out their quality control issues before I buy from them...

I would of thought with you been used to mamods lack of quality control wouldn't be a problem  . I couldn't be happier with the productas from China, you get so much for your money, and thanks to a friend who corrected the timing the Edrig runs like a dream.

I'm guessing Millie or Bertie if your going for total quality.

Have you given up using Mamod/MSS boilers then Graham?

Touch wood I've not had a melted sight glass for ages, and if you solder up the boiler inserts and that pipe at the bottom of the boiler then they seemed to do OK.

Si have you managed to get a De Winton?

Due to being pestered by three of our members on MSN, I will let you know the following:

The loco is a brand new Roundhouse.

I will tell you what model when the cheque clears, or when the engine arrives. Whichever is first ;)
