Fairfield Third Anniversary

Amazingly, it has been 3 years since Bungle completed the Fairfield Railway for NWAG member FRthunderbolt. Today, a steamup was held to celebrate, whilst also celebrating FRthunderbolt's retirement from Network Rail.

Exibit A, an ANLR loco that works very well indeed. Urien takes its train round the 32mm circuit

Whernside from the Ingleton Mountain Railway, hauling two newly completed carriages as part of its mixed train


Exibit B, an ANLR loco that amazes all with its stupidity. Luckily, PTLRcecils Lyn was there to help it out. Knew I should have left it on the shelf for all eternity...

I honestly don't know, it just isn't right. I've had Simon take it to bits numerous times, tried all sorts of the supposed ways to make Accy locos run better, and tried a new reversing valve but still it has no real guts, and is a shy steamer as well

That's a shame!
I reckon they're nice looking loco's (I'm bound to say that aren't I?! ) and I've never seen a poor performer - sounds like you realy have got a "bad 'un"

Bit too broad a generalisation there Pauly - mine and every other one I've seen running pulls like a good 'un

It is now getting better. Ratty your going to have to drip feed it warm steam oil and tuck it in to bed with a winnie the pooh story to get the best from it mind.
