The series was called The Garden Railway, it was presented by Mark Found, the guy now running the Railway channel. In 15 episodes he built a G scale model railway in his garden, visiting many other lines to give inspiration. I got the entire series on DVD, it was what got me into garden railways! If I hadn't seen this I probebly wouldn't be here now......
"What the hell is that?"
"It's a model icebreaker sir."
"It's a bit big isn't it?"
"It's a full scale model sir....."

He did 2 other series of another programme called 'Supermodels' after it where he built a magnificent and massive model of a big aircraft carrier in the first series and a massive aireoplane in the other
