With the schools settling in nicely now its had its seals and wicks dealt with so it actually steams now, it seemed like a good time to take the burden off it. Although these two were ordered before the schools was dealt with as they were planned to do the heavy haulage while the schools had the easier life. So at Peterborough, I collected a new Adams Radial in SR Green and a Victory in GWR Black. Both proving to be great locos and plenty of power in reserve plus being very free running which is only getting better the more they're run in. Alongside the schools, both saw running at the GMES Rally alongside a certain BR Bo-Bo (the 33 proving to be very useful for running at very short notice) performing fantastically even in the pouring rain. With a repaired schools, that's all changed as all 3 are more than capable of pulling what I need them too (Schools 8-10 coaches, Radial 5-6 (easily could do more and will when the times comes) and Victory 12+).
Victory fresh out the Box
Radial fresh out the box
All 3 steamers together on the test track the day before running at the Gala.
I'll naturally post images from the gala in a separate thread. Got lots of images for that so looks like a long evening ahead of sorting that out.
