Custom made nameplates

I have read some horror stories about delays in delivering custom made nameplates from certain suppliers.
What recommendations can you give on where to order from?

MDC (see http://www.rhoshelyg.me.uk/MDC.html) aim to produce them within six weeks from date of order. The plates are produced in batches so if a batch is approaching "full" a well-timed order can arrive earlier. No payment is requested or expected until the plates are delivered.

I've had very quick turnaround (about 3 weeks, and good quality) from MDC via Tony (above), and I've had very good quality from Narrow Planet, but a wait of nearly 3 months on one occasion, and about six weeks on the first. I guess you pays your money and takes yer choice...
