Curiously, and probably off-topic now:

When the Otavi and the other railways in Damaraland were replaced with Cape Gauge diesels (due to the lack of water basically) the Private Bedryfstydboek [WTT] was issued under the title of 'Suid-Afrikaanse Spooweë', different spelling.

My small clutch of Namibian working timetables was also a bargain, as I think I paid a fiver for them.

It took me ages to figure out the SAS in SAR-SAS, until i actually read the worksplates on the garrets cleaning them

Technically yes mate. 8D It'll be somewhere I can run in locos and not worry about blocks or bosting cylinders on bricks.

Well thats all i had when I got back into this stuff, laid on the patio at the old house. My god the stock made some noise! Even managed to run my Edrig on it. Just a shame the joining clips are so weak on the things...

Just been to our local B&Q (Eastwood, Notts) and in the car park was the remains of a pallet of damaged breeze blocks (the kind you can carve to make buildings etc) - the little sign attached read "Free Blocks"

Now that's what I call a bargain!

A bit tatty, but nicely built all metal chassis, with nice big gears and huge motor.
