Indeed! Next up maybe a four plank drop-sided wagon. I might try a horse box.

I am sorely tempted to convert the box van converted to guardsvan back to a guardsvan and get the lovely Andel C&M brake van.

Both are good ideas but the re-conversion* of the guardsvan sounds fun.

* Theologically dodgy but not for guardsvans

LOL!

Fun in a sort of not but still fun kinda way. It was designed and built to look like a converted box van, sort of West Clare ish. Its b***dy solid, made up in planks of strip wood with brass for the iron work and pins for the rivets.

My motive power at the moment is one black Ragleth, "Jane". "Schnarff" the Mamod was sold to a member of the Mamod forums and is from what I hear, doing well.

"Jane" is not as fun or as hands on to run and manage as a meths-fired mamod, but she can pull more than two Andel four-plank open wagons, is controllable and I can set her running and just watch her amble along....instead of having to scurry after with water bottle, meths, matches and trying to adjust her throttle.
