The fully charged battery has made a world of difference to River Ankh, if Taliesin is the Gentleman's light sporting locomotive then River Ankh is the Moron's Light Sporting Locomotive! Not only is she quick (she was taking on steamers and even winning occasionally!) she was carrying a book light when darkness fell. I'm thinking about getting another of those booklights & seeing if the parts could be used in the light on River Ankh, another job for winter? In addition to the locos shown in my snaps there was also another RH Silver Lady, a RH Sandy River, a RH Lady Anne, a RH Jack, a Accucraft Excelsior, a Accucraft Earl and a finescale Hunslet a grand total of 14 locos but there's only one light sporting locomotive! Lighting was provided by a spotlight on a tree, and a pressure lamp at the other end of the line, oh and the light(fitted) sporting loco!

A pair of illuminated Accucraft W&L coaches looked magnificent running in the dark
This shot shows how effective the booklight was in the dark, unfortunately the brass base fell out of my tail lamp so I resorted to using the headlamp.
The Fowler is illuminated mainly by the Light Sporting Locomotive.
Oh did I mention that River Ankh is now the Light Sporting Locomotive!
The roof on her van is in dire need of replacement though!
