W&L Van size GRS Vs Accucraft

Post by Pendo Pilot » Tue Apr 26, 2011 8:08 pm

Mostly for Narrow minded but thought it might be helpful to any other people who use W&L stock.
A direct comparison between the GRS kit (Not quite finished) & Accucraft RTR W&L van.

I must say though that my GRS kit uses accucraft W&L axleguards & wheelsets & not the whitemetal ones supplied with the GRS kits.
Also my GRS kit was bought secondhand unmade so I have no idea how old it is?

Side view, height slightly smaller on GRS & also side door quite a bit smaller. Accy van left, GRS right.

Profile is about the same.

Outline also pretty much same. Rainstrips yet to be fitted to GRS van (supplied with kit). Door slide cover & actual slide is totally absent from GRS kit though.

Hope that helps.

Spiffing - cheers m'dears! ;)

The most obvious difference is the size of the doors, that kinda grabs the eye when they're parked next to each other.
Apart from that, they mix in well.

Thanks for that, i'm thinking of getting a couple of cattle vans and believe these are about the same size as the goods vans.

GRS have been renowned in the past for being a little "flexible" with scale and accuracy!
