I have a newly accuired 5'' gauge loco. Petrol powered, needs a repaint big time. And geared to only go backwards
The best bit been it only cost 20 bob.
No pics yet!
Thanks
Jack

Wow, some lovely locos there.

Don't know if this counts? 27" gauge, just passed as a driver on it, and was the unlucky sod that got to repaint him, and then sort out one or two fueling "issues" He is only mine in the fact that no one else drives him when I'm about :D :D

Bluebell's mechanical lubricator hasn't been working, and as a result, the cylinders are ceased up. And the axle pump eccentric isn't turning with the axle, the axle's turning IN it.

Well the mechanism works, just the oil level hasn't dropped any and the chimney was dry when running, so I assume the lubricator is blocked.

I was referring more to the seizing- I don't imagine the lubricator itself is too much of a problem to sort.

it would be wise to strip the lubrication styem down and clean it out as for the ceased cylinders well that's something else what type of oil do you use to lubricate them?
