Best garden railway in Britain

I think that we should put up pictures of the best garden railway that we've visited. However(I will be strict on this instruction)do NOT put up pictures of your own railway. In this topic we will have debates about what is best. I'll go first.
Mine has to be my local garden railway because it has certain charms that garden railways should have. A little canal scene, a faithful reproduction of the forth bridge, two lovely stations, good plant choice & a well equipped shed for fixing & building steam engines

Well, if people can get away with modern Doctor Who music(ptlrcecil & laalratty are prime examples)then surely I'll get away with the knight rider theme

I like your thinking Brian, and on that basis, for me it's got to be the Joys of Life Railway.

It's a railway in miniature, which can be operated like a railway by a team of people, or it can be run by one man like it's his train set! But you can also ride on it, and it takes you on a journey.

I'm not being biased but Attila does sound mighty fine leaving Stokerton with 7 people on the drawbar, even with a trainee driver at the regulator.

That would be meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. was fun driving her and I thought I did quite well to keep it going. slipped quite a bit at times

Well, if miniture is the outer limit, I think that the best garden railway was the Duffield Bank Railway (1874-1916).

Yeah the Eaton Hall line was/is great, but Duffield Bank had gradients as steep as 1 in 10, tunnels and viaducts, whilst the eaton hall line is mostly flat with the odd bridge over a beck here and there.

I'd probably say Tretheake Mill myself. Althought I haven't been to many others, but what I've seen on the internet, it sure stands out!
