yeah wet back heat i will made steam better unlike the djb boiler which are dry backhead

yeh wet back heado more efficient that david baily's and also 5 flue tubes instead of 4
also features a propper regulator under the dome

i have two varieties of steam coal to hand, but dave wadkins web site says:
"I use domestic smokeless fuel rather than coal, Homefire brand. This burns with a hot flame and leaves very little ash and no clinker. I have not had so much success with anthracite or steam coal."

Blimey looks a well engineered edrig boiler! Are DJB wet backheaded?? I'd have thought that would be inefficient and would burn the paint off.
You will have a far smaller grate size if so, do you think that will affect the steaming?

djb's boiler is a dry backhead, mine has been made wet but the result is the grate is 6mm shorter, but this should affect efficiency as there is more water around the box to absorb the heat
the back probable wont be painted, just left to blacken itself, or i may clad it

in a way, you are a bit. allot for such a small loco.
The edrigs i have seen, all the owners say the boilers make enough steam.
but your will be the cream of the crop

Personally I'd rather have a larger grate area given how small the grate is allready, it'll be interesting to see if it is better though.

boiler is done and hydraulic tested, just needs its steam test then he can come home
