Bother, quick I need a snow plough

Oh gods, I have been thinking of building a snowplough for ages but had been putting it of untill christmas as I did not think it would snow untill at least janurary as it normally does. Well it has snowed and is continuing to snow and has started to settle (or as we call it "Lay")
I am in need of seeing some snow plough designs and pictures to help me build one soon. It is early days but the weathor says there is more to come...!
Any suggestions are welcome!

The plans were on the haggerles website. The blade is half a gutter cut in a mitre block at 45 degrees then a triangle of wood in the middle to hold it all together.

I may decide to take some track and Edrig over to my house in York, as we're due snow tomorrow (and hopefully lots of it!)

Right so all the snow has now melted but more is comeing tomorrow.
Here is what I have made, it needs painting but is very sturdy, We'll see if it does it job well or not tomorrow (I hope!)
The truck is on a curve so the plough looks off centre but it is not. I do not have a mitre block so it was all done by eye. Made from some rather small plastic pipeing I found lying around in my junkyard of a garden!

It is simply screwed to the bufferbeam of an IP 5 wagon so is suprisingly sturdy, I can take it off easily when I am done!

Well, as anticipated as soon as I build a snow plough It doesn't snow today!
Lets hope it snows tomorrow! I need to paint it now, may paint it grey as that is the only colour I have instock at the moment!

Humm, it is really snowing now, the snow is even settleing ontop of the fish pond! I put my coat on and grabbed the snow plough and ventured out. The garden was lit by a weired orange which was light from the town reflected by the snow. The snow seems to be the wrong type of snow though as insteam of splitting nicely it is clumping up infront of the plough and being pushed along. It is nearly and inch thick allready in places. I may need to use a larger diameter tubeing next time to get better effects in such depths I got a little video but it is not very good due to the strange light. I don't know if you want to see it.

A larger diamter would help but you might like to try sharpening the leading edge a bit so it lifts the snow rather than just pushing it
