For anyone using the free Avast antivirus software, if you get a warning saying that there is a virus (Malware-gen) now on your PC whenever you try to open topics on this forum DON'T PANIC it's a false positive, due to an error in the virus signature update released today the 24th January. Avast antivirus have quickly released another signature update that fixes the problem.
It gave me a bit of a fright when I clicked on a topic and the siren went off, and the warning popped up, so I looked up the problem on the Avast forum, and saw that hundreds of other people have had the same when entering other forums. A message from one of the Avast employee's stated he had just finished fixing the error and a new update was available. I downloaded the updated signature.. no more problems :-)
