Sam of the STT and Mike of the LLR visited today to run trains... So here's the result:

I'll name a diesel after you Zach ;)  :lol:  :lol:

I named it that for various reasons...
1. Due to grandad being named Bill.
2. 'Willi' is like William, which Bill is the short version.
3. It'll fit on the nameplate leaving space either side to use the existing bolt holes.

I'm now thinking, maybe I'll name it Bruno instead.

Yes, I suppose it has...

I'd better do it officially. This is my latest steamer, bought from Exeter at a bargain price from Forrest Classics. It had only been run a couple of times by a collector, so is in mint condition.
The MHLR workshops have already been tinkering, there's a small chain added on the consate tank lid to stop it getting lost, hooks on front and rear couplings for chain, put some heat-shrink on the reverser lever, numbered it, and temporary nameplates until I get some proper ones. I'll probably modify the exhaust system to rid of the silly flag-pole pipe at the front, and do a few jobs with the paint brush (ie paint the inlay on the coupling rods red).

How much do these cost about?

Im thinking of christmas presents and currently cant think of anything other than sat nav for my car then this poped into my head and also the fact that Will (or should i say Bruno, he seems to be taking a shine to the nic-name!) reccomended me to get one before I come into some money and ordered a Linda.

They look quite nice engines and if they are the right price I could even try doing some modding and maybe get a nice loco thats manual (all my others are R/C)

Also would I be right in thinking its gauge convertable from 32 to 45?

And does anyone know of any dealers who sell them?

Drean steam is about to become an agent! They do free post. just phone em up! They are convertable between 30mm gauge (regner silly gauge) 32 and 45 or any one imbetween!
The gas can be fiddly to fill or get set right but once you have the knack and have got over all the little quircks they are charming little engines! I recomend!

They are great fun to run, very satisfying. Powerful too. Martin's Models is the main dealer- his website is rubbish but he's very helpful on the phone.
