Mamod Pistons

How the hell do you disasemble the pistons on an mss/mamod loco??

Very carefully. you have to take the cylinder off, then place the port face on a vice so the piston rod is pointing up then carefully tap the end cap out with a hammer. Once it is out turn the cylinder the other way up and, using a peice of dowl down the cylinder bore, knock the other cap out which has the piston attatched
