Gubbins Garden Fletcher Jennings Class E 0-4-0T Aka William Finlay & Townsend Hook

Post by tommygander1941 » Mon Nov 02, 2026 7:47 pm

This is a lovely fully 3D printed model of the two 3ft 2 1/4" gauge Fletcher Jennings tanks built in 1880, for the Dorking Greystone Lime Co. It's scaled to 16mm scale but running on 2ft gauge so it may be slightly inaccurate, I'm not sure if they'll make a 45mm gauge model yet.

Here's the link to the ebay store, which is the only way to purchase a kit for £120 (that includes everything) at the moment:

I had seen that but looking closely at the picture you show would be wary because I would want to sand out the print lines on the tank sides which could be very difficult with the framing moulded in,

It is a cute looking loco. I wonder what it's power source is. I assume it'll be a 3v can motor and flimsy nylon gears.

Their Facebook page says they are planning to make a 45mm gauge version.
I'm not too sure about their mechanism, though. It is slightly less noisy in reverse.
