Name plates

Post by Warwickshiresteam » Tue Jan 20, 2026 6:15 am

Can anyone recommend a nameplate manufacturer, preferably in brass but others considered and, secondly suggest a way of attaching said plates; I assume superglue works but are their other methods? Many thanks.

In the past I've had some very nice custom plates from Narrow Planet. However, they seem to have gone through various reorganisations and renamings and I have seen some frustrated postings about this. That said, they now seem to be trading as "LRS" but I think it is the same people.

Superglue or silicone bath sealer are both OK in my experience.

Interesting. I'd used them in the past and plan to use them again, but it was a while ago and I didn't know anything about this name change.

I use silicone and would recommend. No problems holding the plates firmly in place for years, but no problem either with peeling them off and leaving the paint beneath intact.

I was going to recommend silicone, rather than superglue..
