The Grand Opening (with champagne!) took place this evening. Many thanks to Shaun for inviting us.

Lord Pedro de Hooton does the opening honours by cutting the chain with a hacksaw. As far as we know he's still at it !

Many thanks to Shaun and his Good Lady for an excellent opening event.
Yummy Pizza and Champagne too !  :D
All set in a simply Lovely Garden with wonderful aroma's  :?  ah those aroma's still linger with me now.

Quadruple headed Lady Anne's/Silver Lady broke the tape for the inaugeration and much fun was had in the swamp lands at the far reaches of the railway as many a train passed by.

Meanwhile at the very end the ANLR expanded it's air services as "Urien" took a flying leap form the high level track but Sadly no pics of this magnificent feat are known to be available.  8)

The opening train carried alcohol, alas the drivers must have drunk some of it as this happened after the opening train moved up to the upper circuit! And the people in the wagon were so intoxicated that they couldn't fall over!

Finally, a short video from laalrattysbrother productions posted on photobucket, showing an on board ride round the lower circuit and the opening train breaking through the tape (though this happened a few times  )
