Post by pauly » Fri Feb 27, 2009 9:13 pm

have finished (its only took a year!) the Woodrow Business class carriage, you have to pay a pretty penny to travel in this carriage

with its electric fire, vintage music system and its own small bar

Very nice! I'm hoping to do something similar (but without the electric fire) later this year. Does it have interior lighting??

It's actually dead easy! Buy a switched battery box from Lineside Delights or your local electronics shop. Buy some LEDs (check they will run on 3 volts - take a battery box and pair of batteries with you to test). You run two wires from the battery box to the first LED - solder the LED in place with the circuit live so you can check you've got the LED the right way round. Solder 2 wires from this LED to the next one - solder the LED in place as before. It's really as easy as that!
