Very nice! I'm hoping to do something similar (but without the electric fire) later this year. Does it have interior lighting??

no it doesnt have interior light but I am working on that
ya know them little battery lights that you just depress the center of to turn on......

It's actually dead easy! Buy a switched battery box from Lineside Delights or your local electronics shop. Buy some LEDs (check they will run on 3 volts - take a battery box and pair of batteries with you to test). You run two wires from the battery box to the first LED - solder the LED in place with the circuit live so you can check you've got the LED the right way round. Solder 2 wires from this LED to the next one - solder the LED in place as before. It's really as easy as that!
