So that's how he affords his 9F.

I prefer the cheaper camping butane cylinders with the non-screw in adapters now. Available from "outdoor" shops around £2.00 a can. But if you want Go then tat is a good price with delivery. Max

Where do you get the adaptor for the non screw type gas cans?

Plenty on eBay Bryan - http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from= ... =1&_sop=15

You want the gold coloured one with the brass coloured EN417 screw fitting. These ones have a non return valve fitted so can be left on the canister. Do not get the black coloured one with the silver coloured EN417 screw fitting as they have no non return valve - i.e. will leak gas if permanently fitted to a canister.

If you have a Roundhouse EN417 gas filling adaptor these are known to have compatibility issues with these Asian adaptors - you either need to machine down the threaded end of the Roundhouse adaptor, or fit an 'O' ring around the EN417 threaded part of the Asian adaptor.

Some of the Garden Railway traders sell these Asian adaptors too - e.g.

You can get the camping gas canisters from one of the £1 shops (for a £1!), or B & M Stores (4 for £3:99), but they will likely go out of stock soon with the end of the summer holidays.
