LGB Pricing help

Post by DLRdan » Sat Nov 14, 2015 4:45 pm

I've got a friend who bought some LGB items in the past with the idea of starting a railway. 2 and a bit traction engines later he has decided its time to sell them on. I've had a quick look round but would like some further help so I can pass some idea of current prices on to him.

All the items are as new in the boxes

Starter set 78402, loco with two wagons and circle of track.
Diesel loco 92090
Two open wagons 94205
There is one track pack with 2 points, 2 curves and 9 straight sectons along with six, 1 meter lengths.

Hi Dan,
if you do an advanced search on ebay you can look to see what price somilar items finished. I use it for pricing buy it nows or just looking to see whether to sell or not.

Just to give you an idea the following are the auction starter prices I would set for the items on eBay:

78402 (If set complete, boxed & with controller) - £140
92090 Loco - £40
Open wagons 94205 - £20 each
Track pack - £70
6x1m lengths - £40 (careful on postage cost)

A lot depends on condition and completeness, and don't forget there is roughly 20% commission to pay if you include the PayPal costs.
