Hi,
Today the BSA Mamod locomotive had its first run. This locomotive was made up with bits from the 'Might come in useful draw). It really wasn't the day to try out a new engine. It wasn't that cold around 6C but the wind was gusting and kept blowing one to all of the burners. Oddly the burners kept alight longer if the model was going quicker rather than slower.
Video.
There are two threads on assembling this model one titled Bolt together Mamod, the other Simple Displacement lubricator. Today's run was with a borrowed meths burner. The only thing left to do to the model is make and fit a smoke box door handle and decide whether to Meths or gas fire it.
Regards Tony.
