Pin and Link/Drawbar Couplings

Hello Folks,

I'm looking for more prototypical couplings for a small narrow gauge railway and have come across Andel's Pin and Link and Swiftsixteen's drawbar couplings. Anyone used either and able to give me an idea of how the look and work in practice?

Anything other than a 3-link or a chopper is VERY fiddly in use and will mean your locos and stock not being able to mix with other people's.

One place for these "more permanent" coupling may be in long, permanently-coupled rakes of stock which are stored in long boxes or tubes - slate wagons spring to mind. These could have more conventional couplings on either end.

Brian is right, I fitted Link & Pin couplers originally but found them fiddly and time consuming.

I had a feeling this might be the case. I'm after something much more prototypical in appearance and I'm not that fussed about increased operational "fiddliness" but I don't want it to be a major pain
