Peco point over-centre springs

Post by Peter Butler » Sun Jul 27, 2014 10:59 pm

I have a SM32 Peco point in good condition except for a missing over-centre spring. I want to use it... not sell it!
Nothing on ebay.... any suggestions as to where I might be able to get one please?

Yes, I agree, I've heard of them helping out several people in that way, they've got a great reputation for customer service...

Send Peco a stamped addressed envelope along with a note stating that you need a point spring and they will send them out to you. They generally send you a small pack with a hand full of them in.

Thanks for the advice guys.... I looked on Peco site and found no sales listing but my next step was to contact direct as you have suggested.

If you don't have any luck, I can send you an offcut of memory wire that the Trundle uses for jewellery making - you can then fashion your own.

For the past few days my laptop and printer have not been speaking to each other so I couldn't write and print a letter. However, a quick trip to my local computer wizard has put things right and I will now send off the appropriate begging letter to Peco.
I was struggling valiantly against Windows 8.1 and in its standard form I was losing the battle. It has now been doctored and made user friendly so I hope my equipment will continue to behave.
If/when I do get results I will certainly let you know.

Sorry about the delay in closing this thread but the advice from Elmo was indeed spot on!
A stamped addressed envelope to Peco resulted in the delivery of a small pack of springs.
Thanks to everyone who responded.
