Re: North East Victoria Railway

The wagons look really good — and the ‘TGR M’ class is fantastic. Wow.

Re: Semi-scale BR: a pageant of modern traction!

It’s usually their appearance (and/or livery) that I’ve found attractive enough to want to reproduce in the first place. So thank you all.

(not that I’ve necessarily followed any of them accurately, of course)

Semi-scale BR: a pageant of modern traction!

Another noisy Toy Trains in the Back Garden video to accompany your relaxed, early evening pint of Old Dirigible. Small screen, 1080p HD, best headphones, reasonable volume, etc, etc...

Cheers!

Re: Semi-scale BR: The Modernisation Plan

They’re not ugly! But thank you. It’s been on the to-do list for years. My big issue is the wheels. Sticking, say, resin-cast or 3D print (not that I can do that) Bulleid-style ‘wheel-trims’ over the wheels of a long-ish Bachman motorblock could end up with fairly dodgy wheel widths… But I might try...

Re: Semi-scale BR: Strictly Bulleid*

“It feels like about six too many” OMG! — Help — I need to sit down… As an unreconstructed Southern Region bore, I’m beside myself with excitement. And I would like to think that by now the chaps at Swanage have developed a pretty shrewd notion of what works for them. The lovely T3 (and their other...

Very enjoyable — and I imagine it must have taken ages to assemble and shoot.

Re: Peckforton Light Railway - Video Library

Attention to detail and consideration given to so many aspects of this (the railway, rolling stock, operations, video) is, of course, so impressive. Love the sheep audio!

Re: Semi-scale BR: Garratt loaded test run

Thanks Rik. Yes! I have recently been presented with several instrumental pieces specifically for use in future videos — but this one is from Kevin Macleod, yet again, who I remember you have used in the past as well. I’m afraid the steam loco noises aren’t of a Garratt. They’re varied edits of my u...

Re: Semi-scale BR: Garratt loaded test run

Gosh. Thank you all. Real locomotives (and even many live steam models) might produce sound you actually want to be able to hear, not obscured under other audio — but my efforts don’t. So, I’m afraid, I add both music and train noises. Used appropriately, music can set the pace and tone of the video...

Semi-scale BR: Garratt loaded test run

https://youtu.be/6dHgVvcfgXE Chill out with the recently built Garratt as it slowly trundles round, occasionally trying its best to come off when I’m not paying attention — I’ll need to fiddle with it again. Though having to go round very slowly is, of course, fine with me. As well as embracing ‘No...

Lovely. I’m tempted to retrofit agreeably weathered tread plate to everything.
