The LVLR welcomes back an old friend...

After almost 20 years of inactivity, number 99.804 has been run for the first time! This playmobil locomotive has been regauged to 32mm (by the use of a brand new chassis made by my father). The locomotive has also been tidied up and received a cosmetic make over, including new buffer beams, pipework, Swift Sixteen tank fillers and a chime whistle! Finally, all the work was complimented by a repaint into BR lined black livery!
Finally, the Beast is back and is here to stay!

The locomotive is currently awaiting its name, number and works plates, and the front vacuum pipe also has to go back on! Oh and crew as well...
So guys, dust off that old toy in the back of your drawer, and make it run!

It's sister (the Diesollok) is currently being finished aswell!
I will do load tests sometime to find out how much they will pull (hopefully 3 bogie carriages)...
Overall, they've both been a good challenge to get going again, and I'm very pleased with the result!

That's a nice little conversion you have there and the BR black suits it well.

The frame of the loco required a lot of surgery to get the new chassis in (the locomotive sits a lot lower than before, so low infact that the cylinders actually fouled the points! luckily we packed the chassis)
Just need to find some crew...

99.804 is now finished! With only it's nameplates to go, it's seen here hauling its first passenger service with the DFNGR Victorian set consisting of (all IP):
A Freelance 4 comp. Balcony carriage,
A VoR Summer carriage,
A modified 4-wheeled single comp. carriage,
And a 4 wheel composite brake carriage.
The locomotive pulled this set with ease! It's hoped that the locomotive could also pull the carriage GWR set (it's much heavier so don't hold ya breath!)

Finally, the Diesellok is now also in working order! With just a few more finishing touches (nameplates, rear lights, vac pipes ect.) it will also be a useful member of the fleet.
