Hi there!
I have a bit of a problem at the moment. The gas filler valve on my cheddar Riesa leaks badly during filling and gas gets everywhere. (perhaps to do with the fact it has a sprung nipple)
Forest classics do a suitable replacement( http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FS-NEW-GAS-TA ... 4845b9f9a8) but the problem I have is getting the original out. Unlike the replacement and roundhouse/accucraft valves, the original Cheddar one has slots which are segments of the edge of the circular valve, rather than slots across the diameter
If anyone knows a tool to get out the old valve, advice would be greatly appreciated. (It is also complicated by the fact that the valve is recessed into the tank, so I don't think the roundhouse multitool would work when fitting the replacement)
Thanks
Peter

Re: Cheddar gas filler valve
Quickest way is to file a slot up the centre of a cheap screwdriver to fit. These valves are 0 ringed so not so tight in. If this does not work contact me offline or by telephone and I can stick my little brass jobby in a jiffy bag to you.pthompson12:95036 wrote:Hi there!
