To be sure that doesn't happen bolt eyes are fitted !
Will be tied down at some point in time ..the body wont decompose its resin.

The Victorians made so much fuss about death, I'm sure they missed a trick when it came to railway hearse coaches, (narrow gauge style!)
My own hearse is a 'what might have been' take on the possibility of upmarket, final journeys....

There was someone in the UK where they did transport the coffins in specially made carriages with a passenger one behind for the relatives etc to travel in...forgotten where now

Can't remember, but they used to have a coffin train on the southern region to move bodies out of south London it's on one of Michael Portilos rail shows.

I know there were trains to carry the deceased and mourners out of London to the outskirts because of the limited burial space available within the City. These were regular service trains up to about 1960's, 70's but no longer in service due to the increase in cremations. (Standard gauge of course!)

Sir Winston Churchill had his own state funeral train, and incredibly that whole train still exists, with 34051 'Winston Churchill' at the NRM, the 5 Pullman coaches still around, and the coffin wagon PMV NºS2464S repatriated from Los Angeles and now at the Swanage Railway.
