Accucraft chopper replacements
Iv seen the chopper couplers on accucraft locos replaced with what looks like a normal single buffer and hook arangement, it looks like it just fits in the slot where the chopper would normally be.
where can I order these from?

Steve Warrington at Back2Bay6 does a whitemetal buffer to replace the chopper coupling, but use the Accucraft pocket. Shane has these on quite a bit of his stock. http://www.back2bay6.net/80415/info.php?p=5&cat=85196 and scroll down a bit.

All I have done with my Accucraft locos is remove the chopper hook, and left it at that.

Accucraft chopper replacement
Well I made replacement inserts in plasticard - vis
These were my first attempt, which turned out to be too long, so the ones that were fitted were similar but shorter.
By making the shaft width a little narrower than the hole, they can swivel a bit side to side.
