Easter Silverdale Steam

Well the 2012 steamup season is now into full swing, with events planned for next week and PTLRfest now looming on the horizon. Today, SLRmidge threw open the rails of the Silverdale Light Ralway (North) for the first time this year and served up some typical easter treats (which were then mostly consumed by LMSjools....) Here are the pics

First out was IMRshauns linda which formerly belonged to Sir Hadyn. This loco was fitted with Radio control because the IMR really needs it, however the loco is rejecting it as both regulator and reverser servos packed up...

The PTLR's new faller made another apperance, with more battery power it went around with dragon protection

PTLR/Ffestiniog motive power, Mordred the Slater's Prince on the right and PTLRsam's new loco on the left, a Peter Angus model of Linda in early 1990's condition. As usual with Peter Angus models of this type, the loco is geared rather then direct drive

Criccieth Castle loco crew, not to be messed with

Oh bu99er. Killer bunny's girlfriend has been trapped by the dragon. Fans of the bunny on Facebook know that the dragon is the one thing the bunny truly fears.....

And this is why. We don't know if the bunny survived or whether the dragon has ended this little bit of NWAG stupidity....!

Oh and it was good to run a train at some point.

Great shot of Linda in the first pic, only the reverser servo had failed in the end but as it was a cheap servo living right next to a steam whistle it was perhaps not too surprising it eventually gave up the ghost. Soon had her running nicely on the LMSR here on test yesterday though. Am only sad to be returning her to the IMR lol
