Hi folks
We've had dire warnings from more than one source that the software we use for the forum (PHPBB) is vulnerable to attack unless we upgrade to the latest version immediately.
I am just trying to get my head around the upgrade process - having never done it before.
I may have to take the forum offline at some point in the next day or so while the upgrade takes place.
Please be patient. I will attempt to get it upgraded and back online as soon as possible.
Rik

Re: Forum upgrade
The forum has now been updated to the latest version.
A bit scary as we've never done it before, but the support chap at our provider was very helpful and with a bit of nail-biting, a few coffees and some web research, I think it's now back up and running.
There are still a few tweaks needed - eg restoring our logo and checking some of our installed extensions are functioning, but nearly there!
If you spot any anomalies or issues, let us know and we'll try and sort them out.

Re: Forum upgrade
If you get some strange formatting issues, try purging the cache in your browser. You may have to do a web search to find out how to do it.
Sorry, but as I said, it's the first time we've done this and we're learning as we go
