Balloon loop points

Post by Nigel B »

Hi All
The FeckHallBahn will be moving (as will we!) in the new year and I want the new layout to feature a pair of reverse loops.
I'm sticking with G 45 track - too expensive to change everything!
My question. Is there a non-electric point mechanism that would allow trailing points to stay securely in the position they have been pushed to rather than spring back to the original direction? This is because I'd like successive passes round the loop to be in different directions if that makes sense.
Thanks
Nigel

Thank you. Is that an over centre spring?

No springs the point are just free to move.
I had 2 on a previous layout with trains running in an alternate direction around the loops.
