A magnetic man for pushing mine carts.

I remember seeing somewhere recently a 16mm horse set up for drawing mine carts and I thought that was very clever. Then somewhere else I saw a model of a working incline that used rare earth magnets under the track to draw the mine carts up the hill. This has set me thinking as to whether it would be possible to have a mine cart pushing man who was drawn along by magnets in the same way.

Is this a silly idea?

If it's a magnetic man, will you be able to resist him, Annie? (Magnetic attraction / personality and all that)
