Bother, Bother, Bother

I'm this far into the build and I've just realized
that I've done the sides wrong, the end panels should be recessed not
projecting.

Do I finish it as it or destroy it and start again

I would carry on with the build. Those in the know may find themselves scratching their heads trying to work out what is wrong with the coach.

I put a video of my swift sixteen low loader bogie wagons into this forum and no-one noticed all the bogie sides were upside down. Well, they didn't notice until now.

Nice video Andy, I particularly like the boat and we have identical Criccieth Castles.

Like you say it'll be very hard to notice the mistake as the prototype
no longer exists and there's only a couple of photographs of it

The boat was an nautical ornament I bought on e-bay. It needed a bit of work and some ship model fittings to titivate it up to standard but the boat itself was already built. The boat is flat bottomed which is not prototypical but it is very helpful when mounting it on a railway wagon.

If it looks right to you: It IS righ. It isn't fun trying to copy ever millimeter and every button on each seat.

The coach has been given a reprieve, now with some paint, the original
would have been varnished wood but that's not possible here due to the
burning from the laser cutter

Thanks Peter, I'll probably do the window glazing as one strip across
the back of the frames.

All finished, 1.5mm ply roof, thin plastic strip for the window glazing and
3mm acrylic for the portholes.

Thank you Peter, it was actually an experiment in engraving the paneling detail into the wood, a bit slow to do but I'm very happy
with the result.
