WOW, Im planning some of these for xmas or something, I want some decent coaches. Or maybe some IP VoRs, Im not sure ATM...

I like the IP VoRs too, but according too ptlrsam, your best buying some different bogies for them instead of the ip ones.

No I don't. I think we both know someone who does, infact, more often than PTLRSam! Actually, where is the person in question, hes been offline for days and days now... (unlike andy to do that!)

Sewriously dont buy IP for the reasons you mentioned before. Also since there not compensated they will derail frequently unless you have outstanding trackwork.

Sorry but I have to disagree with you there. I have two IP kits running on my railway. Apart from the roof falling off one after a very nasty fall, they have never given any trouble. The kits were the easiest I have ever assembled, and the instructions the by far the best of any manufacuturer I have tried.

No connection with IP, except as a satisfied customer...

We're not saying the kits are bad, we're just saying the bogies have a habbit of falling to bits. Apart from that, they're great.

I've never really had any problems with my IP bogies, though I do both screw them together and use glue as well
Those coaches look great BTW especially with Westie

They do dont they!! Match both Westie and Guineveres cab roofs perfectly, so tomorrow there shall be a double header (if cecil will get Guinevere out!)

Until then, here is a wee YouTube video of the carriages first night of action on the PTLR. Look out for Westmorland, running well (for all those naysayers who keep saying it is only ever sat around in my vids!)

In response to you rcomment on YouTube, I agree it is a bit quiet, but there are 2 reasons for this...
1) It was a bit rushed to get the first vid on YouTube of the Isle of Man coaches by Accucraft,
2) Probably not what you meant, but unfortunately, the next door neighbours kids were out making S**T loads of noiise on that blasted trampoline, so I had to reduce the audio on several shots to make the vid watchable!

Its a shame it had to be so rushed to beat anyone else, as a lot of good shots have been taken today by the PTLR staff, however these may appear in a future PTLR productions vid, courtesy of PTLRcecil.

I didn't mean in regards to chuff pipes, I meant that normally you have music in it!! Though I guess you're running out of suitable music?

Not really, like I said it was a rush to get it out immediately. Cecil would have produced/edited it, but he had to go to work, whereas I was off work that day, so had the time. As it was more about the coaches than some steam up, we decided we didnt want music!
