Wow! Its been quite a while since I last posted on this thread. The plants have all grown again and the line is greener than ever.
With a few day off work, the sun out and jobs in the workshop complete I had a wander out to do some weeding and to boil some water.
As a few of you may know i have aquired a Riverdale Elke loco. I must admit I am most impressed. She was rostered out today burnning a little 'Swanwick Shed' coal for effect.

Just before I steamed up the post man delivered a new Accucraft Quarry Hunslet. They really are nicely detailed! It was decided in light of events to try it before i put pen to paintwork. Unfortunatly it is suffering from the steam blowing straight up the chiney. Accucraft have been contacted and it will be mended before returning for lining.

Very very nice - all looking well settled-in.

I confess to having been rather smitten with the idea of a Riverdale "Irene" as they were advertising at Peterborough (the new one based on "Katie")... not entirely sure how to finance that, mind you.

All looking terrific Matt - and as much as I was determined not to like the Elke when I finally got round to seeing it, I failed!

Looks like the garden has grown since my visit. Shame abouyt the Hunslett, I mean its not like something like this has ever happened before......

What a stunning railway I only hope mine can get to look half as nice as this, I've laid all the blocks now and will start laying track soon but I will be hard pushed to match your scenic delights. A truly lovely garden railway well done.

Your line looks absolutely beautiful!

Is there any chance you could go through some of the plants you've used? Especially those in the slate cutting!

Last Sunday was my 2nd open day of the year, fair weather for the first part made for good running, the rather wet weather later on meant the big gazebo on the lawn made a welcome shelter!

The greenery has really come on now - I had to look hard to recognise some of the locations!

You must have fertile soil the plantation has matured really well
