I can't believe it's took me over two years to finish them. I had to reglue parts together, repair a couple of seat beams inside, reattach bodies to frames and reglaze them using stronger glue and thicker glass plastic. However, the job is now done!
Looking rather good with Swordbreaker here...they also match the same loading gauge...

It was starting to get dark and some cleaning was required. Those who followed my first fumbling steps into the wrld of modelling might remember I posed some of these coaches on my worktable along with the then-half finished engine the day my Alan Briggs overlays arrived. I recreated that scene now but in '2013 vision'...what a difference a year or two makes!

The motive that beat the procrastination finally was the fact that my hosue is having a massive clearout - we've dumped a huge box of VHS rewritable tapes, took a bargeload of old unwnated books to our Sue Ryder charity shop, I sold a ton of electronics, and also shifted an old dekstop PC with screen, scanner and table etc on Ebay. My stuff was next to be considered and these, having only seen one day of service in the two years I'd had them got me thinking. Once restored, given the reglazing on part of them and the fitting of better couplings, could I resell them?
Problem is, is now that they are restored it's found they go rather well with the completed Swordbreaker and have a unique character to them - plus, a matching rake of five including a matching Guards van is somewhat a rarity these days.
Therefore I have decided: these could be for sale if offered the right price for them.
To make it easy for any potential buyers, I could deliver them to anyone going to the National Garden Rail Show This Saturday to save on shipping and postage.
