A Mamod Haynes manual whilst sounding a great idea would actually take a lot of time to produce.Narrow Minded wrote:any thoughts of extending it to cover the usual failings & fixes????
First you start with the 7 original locos, SL1 to SL6 + SL1K, then add the variations, SVR 45mm SL1, straight chimney SL3, etc. and of course you then want all the Mamodification market items included as well.
Would take a life time to collect all the data. And if you wish to include MSS as well then more work as these seem to be less common than the old Mamod SLs.
However, the 16mm e-group (now a Yahoo group) produced their Mamod Handbook in March 2001, which is a collation of the various questions, problems and solutions. This is a useful start and should be part of everyone's Mamod library. PM me if you need a copy.
